Director of Strength to Strength Participates in Resilience in Unity Launch Event November 4, 2021

Sarri Singer, Director of Strength to Strength, was invited to a special event taking place on Thursday, November 4, 2021, in London, England. The Resilience in Unity Project is an initiative developed by Strength to Strength Advisory Board member & fellow survivor, Travis D. Frain, to combat online radicalization and indoctrination by sharing victims of terrorism stories online. The Resilience in Unity Project records the stories and testimony of people affected by acts of terrorism around the world, mapping these to create interactive tools for countering extremist narratives. The platform serves a dual purpose; providing an act of digital memorialization for those affected and those who have lost their lives, and through the amplification of these voices, provide resources for distribution across schools, practitioners, and communities.

The event was hosted by Aviva Towers with the support of National Emergencies Trust, Counter Terrorism Policing, and Edge Hill University. The day was joined by over 200 counter-extremism practitioners and survivors of terrorism and joined by HRH The Countess of Wessex. The day was filled with important discussions around countering extremist narratives, testimonies from victims of terrorism, and long-term support needed for all those impacted. Sarri Singer participated in an important panel with other survivors of terrorist attacks discussing the importance of the Resilience in Unity Project in giving victims a voice in combatting extremist narratives and the necessary long-term support needed for victims of terrorism and their families. Strength to Strength was honored to be part of such a special event and we look forward to being involved in the future.
