9/11 19th Anniversary Ceremony & Luncheon

While we have had to pivot this year in many ways, anniversaries still happen whether or not everyone can be together. This year, due to covid, while we could not have our annual Pre-9/11 Dinner, we did have a small group come together on the morning of the 19th anniversary of 9/11.

As always, we met for breakfast at George’s before walking together to the 9/11 Memorial Ceremony. The ceremony was smaller this year, but it was important that those that wanted to be there, had the support they needed. Together, we listened to the names that were pre-recorded and paid tribute to the lives lost that day.

After the ceremony, Strength to Strength hosted a lunch outside at the beautiful PJ Clarke’s on the Hudson, right by the water. 17 Strength to Strength members came to lunch and we were honored to join with a special group of 35 FDNY heroes, many who were first responders that day 19 years ago. This year’s lunch, while smaller, was just as meaningful as years past.

Special thank you to PJ Clarkes on the Hudson for taking such good care of our group.
